I’ve known Phil for close to 20 years now, and that kind of longevity says more than any single appointment ever could. Over that time, he has earned my absolute trust and respect—consistently, quietly, and without ever needing to make a show of it. I’m the sort of person who asks *why* about everything. I want to understand what’s being done, how it works, and what the long-term implications are. Most professionals tolerate that at best. Phil genuinely embraces it. He takes the time to explain things clearly, calmly, and without a hint of impatience. That alone sets him apart. It’s not just dentistry—it’s transparency, and that builds real trust. He also keeps himself at the front edge of technology, which means every visit feels purposeful and precise. There’s no guesswork, no shortcuts—just well-informed, methodical care. I wasn’t exactly kind to my teeth when I was younger, so I’ve had my share of work over the years, including plenty of old amalgam fillings reaching the end of their life. Phil has managed all of that with a level of care and foresight that gives me complete confidence going forward. Now that I’m older, I can say without hesitation that the standard of care hasn’t dropped one bit—if anything, it’s improved. In my view, he’s one of the best dentists in Sydney. What he does, especially with more complex procedures, looks effortless—but you can tell that comes from deep experience and a steady hand. On a personal level, Phil ranks right up there with some of the most capable and respected professionals I’ve encountered in my life—including my cancer surgeon and my former cardiac surgeon. That’s not something I say lightly. Yes, you may have to wait to get in. That’s the reality when someone is this good. But it’s worth it. And importantly, the broader team over at at Hornsby Dental reflects the same standards. Dr Mark Nieh and Dr Richard Huang are equally professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their patients. You’re in safe hands no matter who you see at MacQuaire Park or at Hornsby Dental. It’s hard to put into words just how much respect I have for Phil and his team—but if you’re looking for a dentist who combines skill, integrity, and genuine care, you won’t do better. Great Work! Pleased with results

Having nice teeth should not be a privilege but a necessity in life. As someone who was never able to have an opportunity due to playing sports, I am no more than eternally grateful for Dr. Philip Song for being my dentist. He has treated me with extreme care, love and professionalism where now my life is blessed with a perfect set of teeth! Dr Philip Song is a great dentist. I was recommended to switch to him by a friend, still grateful I did. Dr Song has done a dental implant as well as 2 crowns for me. Unfortunately I am just one of those unlucky people that no matter how well I look after my teeth, I have needed serious work over the years. He always makes sure each procedure is done painless, constantly checks if I am ok during a procedure, he explains everything well and he's very nice and patient. Outstanding dental work at a reasonable price, highly recommend!

Such a great experience. I am so happy with my results! Dr Song is always very personable, polite and efficient and the reception staff are always so welcoming and accommodating.

My son and I have been patients of Dr Philip Song for many years now. More recently he fitted me with porcelain veneers and caps completely transforming my teeth (and my confidence). A newbie at work commented that the first thing she noticed about me was that I had the best teeth she'd ever seen (which she wouldn't have said if she'd seen them before). Dr Song is not only a highly skilled dentist but also a gentle, patient, excellent communicator, giving the best injections I've ever experienced. In short, I count myself very lucky to have him as my dentist.

We are beyond happy with both the service and the final results of my partner Liam’s veneers at Cosmetique Dental in North Ryde. Dr Phillip Song was incredibly helpful and took the time to educate us on the best veneer options to suit Liam’s teeth and mouth structure, especially considering he had half a tooth missing and previous gum issues. The care and expertise throughout the process were outstanding, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We truly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

So glad I found this dental clinic! My son has been seeing Alicia and she is absolutely wonderful with him, always making him feel comfortable and at ease. The TV on the ceiling is a huge plus and really helps with distraction during appointments. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Highly recommend!

We can’t thank Dr Song and team enough for their premium care over the past 14 months of our orthodontic journey. Dr Song has been truly patient, caring, and easy-going with my teenage son. He took the time to teach my son proper teeth-brushing techniques after the wires were put on, and would regularly and carefully check to ensure he was following the correct steps. That level of attention and care really impressed us. What stood out even more was how thoughtful Dr Song is, both as a professional and as a person. He noticed my son’s ongoing eczema issues and kindly shared helpful information based on his own family’s experience, which we genuinely appreciated. The before-and-after results speak for themselves (see photos!) — we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. A big shout-out to Daisy as well, who has always been warm, efficient, and incredibly accommodating. With a teenage boy, there are endless pop-up after-school activities and rescheduling can be a real pain — but Daisy somehow made it feel like a summer breeze, always helping us land the right time slot. We’re incredibly happy with the results… and surprisingly a little sad that the journey has come to an end, as we’ll no longer get to see this lovely team on a monthly basis. I needed some help with a loose implant (done overseas). Dr. Song checked and explained to me my options then fixed it for me. I had a wonderful experience at the clinic, The Doctor, the assistant, the receptionist, all were very kind and professional. I had my braces for a year and did it with Dr. Song. My braces were off 6 months ago and Dr. Song mentioned to see him after 6months for general checking and cleaning. Never mentioned it was a different appointment apart from treatment plan and we had to pay extra. We did not ask as he have mentioned that he would give a cleanup at end as a part of plan so we thought this was it. When I attended today, receptionist asked it would cost us $200+ . When I asked her if she could clarify w/ Dr. Song as we were under the impression that it was part of treatment plan, he clearly denied it is not included in treatment plan. No issue with paying but not providing enough information and charging us at end is so pathetic customer service. They just assumed we would have money and asked to book not mentioning it would cost extra. This was so disappointing and I felt like I was tricked. Very very disappointed, If I could I would give a minus star 😫
